The Lady Falcons were looking to get back on track on Thursday night after a tough loss on Monday which included the injury of their lone senior Jeri Pollard. Lutheran East opened the game in an aggressive full court press which allowed them to jump to an early lead in the 1st quarter.
With early foul trouble for Kaelin Cobb, freshman Gaby Owens came off the bench hot, posting her first double digit scoring night of her varsity career with 10 points! Junior Darjaney Edwards led the team with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Junior Jamara McDowell led the team in steals, posting 7 of them on the night. Jazmyne Darby contributed 14 points for the night and accounted for all 10 of the team’s points in the 4th quarter. The Lady Falcons move to 11-5 on the season and have a quick turn-around playing Friday on the road against Cornerstone.
