The JV team fought hard and lost two very close sets by scores of 25-22, and 25-23. Roscoria Boyd had several kills and the team played very well overall. Then came the varsity game. In the varsity game the Lady Falcons defeated the Lions by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 17-25, and then won the last set 15-13. The Lady Falcons started out very strong in the first set. We were led in serving by Ashley Greenwood with 7 service points. Jeri Pollard dominated the net and our passing was fantastic. In the second set we cam out even stronger and everyone had 3 or 4 service points. Jeri was dominate at the net in the second set with multiple kills and several blocks. The third set the Lady Falcons led most of the way but then gave up a couple of long service runs and lost a tight one. The 4th set the Falcons struggled. We were led by Ashley Greenwood with 6 service points. After a tough 3rd and 4th set the Lady Falcons had to fight back and make sure the finish the 5th set strong. They fought hard in what was a back and forth battle and had a big side out when it was 13-13. Destinee Thompson then served the last point and the Lady Falcons won. It was a very exciting game and the Lady Falcons will be back in action this week vs. the Open Door Patriots.
