Huge Comeback Propels Falcons to a win at Warrensville
Things leaked bleak for the Lady Falcons last night after they lost the first two sets at Warrensville Heights, but the Falcons flew back to win their most exciting match of the year 3 sets to 2.  The first set the Falcons fought hard to make a comeback but could not quite pull it out.  We lost the first set 25-20.  Torrie Simmons led in the serving game with 6 service points, including 2 aces.  In set two we let up a little and did not have a great set.  We lost 25-16.  We did have 6 aces as a team.  The Falcons did not give up though.  We kept fighting and won the third set 25-21.  Jeri Pollard served 4 straight points to put us up for good.  Shelly Gates had 2 aces and Kamilah Dotson had 1.  The fourth set was back and forth until Jermaine Coleman rallied off 7 straight service points with 2 aces in that stretch.  The fifth and final set kept everyone on the edge of their seats.  It was back and forth the whole set.  The Falcons were led by Jeri Pollard with 5 service points and Torrie Simmons with 4.  The Falcons dominated at the net the last three sets, led by Jeri Pollard, Jermaine Coleman and Brittany Holloway.  Shakenna Johnson and Destinee Thompson passed well and the team never gave up and got a much deserved win for the effort they put in. The Falcons are back in action tomorrow vs.  MLK.
