Lutheran East Announces Evonne Glover as Girls Basketball Coach

Lutheran High School East is pleased to announce Evonne Glover, a.k.a. “Coach E,” as its next women’s basketball coach.

A native Clevelander, Coach E developed her love of basketball at any early age while playing on a rim attached to the garage in her backyard. She attended Lincoln West High School, where she was team captain, MVP, and All North Senate All-Star. She earned the Betty Long Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a top female athlete.

Coach E attended Ohio University, where she played intramural basketball. Her team was a semi-finalist in a Junior Olympic 3-on-3 tournament.

Due to the positive impact on her life from her basketball coaches, she realized her passion and purpose was to enrich the lives of others, particularly youth athletes, and could utilize coaching as an avenue to do so. Coach E has coached basketball for over fifteen years, including AAU travel league, junior high school, and high school levels.

Lutheran East Athletic Director Anthony Jones states, “We are extremely excited and blessed to have Coach E joining our athletic program. She brings her talent and energy to our school and I am confident our girls will thrive under her coaching and mentorship.”

Coach E currently resides in the Greater Cleveland area, and she and her husband collectively are parents of six (three boys and three girls) and have one granddaughter. They are owners and operators of a Sales and Marketing business.
