The first game of the season for the Lady Falcons resulted in a loss to the Lady Cardinals of Shaw High School. The Lady Falcons got in early foul trouble in the first quarter but that did not hinder them from being up by three 12-9. Momentum seemed to be going their way until their foul trouble and turnovers gave the Lady Cardinals energy to overcome the deficit and take a 27-25 lead at the half. The Lady Falcons kept the game tight with solid defense and hustle which kept the game to one possession at the end of the third quarter with the score of 40-37. The final eight minutes of the game the girls gave their best pushas Shaw was up by two points at the 2:30 mark of the fourth quarter. With late game free throws the ladies of Shaw won the game by the final score of 60-54. The Lady Falcons next game is December 4th against Laurel at home.
