Great performances at Longhorn Relays
The boys and girls track team participated in the Longhorn Relays at Lutheran West. Leading the way for the Lady Falcons were Jeri Pollard who was third in the shot at 31' 10" and Brittany Holloway who finished third in both the 100m (13.01) and the 200m (28.8) both season best times. Also scoring at the meet was Tiara Alexander in the shot put (7th place), Aurielle Goins in the disc (6th place), and Elantra Youngblood in the 200m (5th place). Elantra Youngblood along with Danielle Mason, T'Ara Adams, and Brittany Holloway were third in the 4x200 relay and fifth in the 4x100 relay. For the boys, William Moore led the way with a second place finish in the disc with a throw of 98' 10" his best throw of the year. In addition William finished eighth in the shot put (34'8"). Isaiah Jones was fourth in the 200m with a seasons best time (24.3). Isaiah also finished 6th in the long jump and was part of the 4x100 with Aaron Pope, Isaiah Jackson, and Derrick Motten that placed 3rd. The 4x200 also finished 3rd which included Aaron Pope, Tyvon Bland, Derrick Motten, and Andrew Pope. Andrew Pope also finished 7th in the long jump.
