June 1, 2022

Lutheran High School East (Cleveland Heights, OH) is proud to announce that Vice Principal of Enrollment, Mr. Matthew Luecke, has been accepted into The Van Lunen Center’s fellowship program.

The mission of The Van Lunen Center, established by Calvin College (now Calvin University) in 2007, is to provide world-class executive management training for heads of schools based on the historic Christian faith

Each year, the program accepts 20-24 individuals currently in Christian school leadership at schools across the country to form a cohort of Van Lunen Fellows.

The executive management curriculum focuses on strategic planning, change management, advancement, fundraising & development, marketing & enrollment, and board governance. During the course of the program, each participant completes an applied project that benefits his or her school, utilizing new skills and knowledge gained from their Van Lunen training.

Lutheran East Principal Andrew Prusinski completed the Van Lunen Center’s program in 2021.

Cleveland Lutheran High School Association (CLHSA) Superintendent & CEO Chris Steinmann, as well as Lutheran West Principal Michael Waugh, are also both Van Lunen alumni, completing the program in 2014 and 2020, respectively.
