Lutheran East Plays Hard, Loses Close Game to Scott ToledoLutheran East hosted Division II Toledo Scott over the weekend and almost pulled off the upset, but just couldn't get in the end zone when it mattered most.  Lutheran East fell 22-20.  Lutheran East trailed 14-12 when a controversial call awarded Toledo Scott a touchdown.  The Falcons drove right back down the field and Brandon  Rivers caught a 5 yard touchdown pass, followed by a Dan Brown 2 point conversion to make it 22-20.  Lutheran East attempted an onside-kick but couldn't recover and the game ended.  The boys continue to fight hard and have close games, but have not yet been able to get that elusive first victory.  
The Falcons were led by Junior QB Davon Bass, who went over 150 yards passing for the first time.  Sophomore Robert Drake had a long interception which he returned to the endzone early in the game.  Lutheran East takes on Grand Valley on Friday (9/28) night on the road
