Falcons Come Back, but Can't beat VASJ
The Lutheran East Falcons football team continues to play hard yet come up just short in their games.  This past weekend, the Falcons fell to Villa Angela-St.Joseph at home by a score of 18-12.  The Falcons took an early 6-0 lead on a tough touchdown run by Austin Woodall of 28 yards.  Austin scored again in the 2nd half to make it 12-12.  Lutheran East fell behind 18-12 and looked poised to score after Robert Drake returned a punt to the VASJ 4 yard line.  Penalties negated a potential game-tying touchdown and the Falcons were unable to punch it in.  Austin Woodall ran for 130 yards and continued his strong season both running the ball and anchoring the defense.  Lutehran East looks to get back in the win column on Saturday at home against Toledo Scott.
