Lady Falcons Lose a Nailbiter

The Lady Falcons came into Wednesday’s contest with four straight home games on their schedule. Their first opponent of their home stand were the Lady Tigers of Cleveland Heights.

In the first quarter, there was sloppy play on both sides as the referees allowed the young ladies to play messy. As things settled down, the Lady Falcons were able to go on a 10-0 run. That run fueled their offense for the first two quarters.

The Lady Tigers went on their run as well but the Lady Falcons withstood the Tigers' best hit to have a 1 point lead at the end of the first half. The score at the half was 36 to 35. Coming into the final two quarters, the Lady Falcons knew they had to play their best basketball to finish off one of the best teams in Cleveland. The game went back and forth as both teams did not allow the other to get out in front with a double digit lead.

Unfortunately, the Lady Falcons could not close the deal as they lost another close game 74 to 70.

The young ladies from the LUE look to bounce back from their two game losing skid with a win against Shaw High School at home on Monday February 5th.
