David Jabs Named Next Head Volleyball Coach

Lutheran East is pleased to announce that its next Head Volleyball Coach will be Mr. David Jabs, who has been a faculty member for 18 years. Mr. Jabs has also previously served as a volleyball coach for several seasons, including as Assistant Coach during the Fall 2025 season, and has coached boys’ and girls’ basketball at various points during his long tenure with Lutheran East. He says that his own volleyball journey began in high school, when he discovered a love for the sport. He went on to play intramural volleyball in college and has played in a church volleyball league for nearly twenty years.

Jabs says, “I really enjoy the game, and I am excited for the opportunity to work with our amazing students as the volleyball coach. The girls want to learn and become better each and every day. I cannot wait to get started next season to see how much the girls improve and to have fun each and every day!” 

Lutheran East Athletic Director Anthony Jones comments that he knows the volleyball program is in great hands with Jabs, saying, “Dave is so committed to Lutheran East in so many ways. He truly wants the best for every student, and that approach will extend to every student-athlete on our volleyball team.”

The Falcons will share their schedule for the Fall 2026 volleyball season in the summer.
