Health & Safety During COVID-19

Health & Safety at Lutheran East During COVID-19

As our world continues to navigate the changing COVID-19 landscape, Lutheran East is committed to providing as healthy and safe a school environment as possible. Please note that as COVID-19 evolves, the guidance outlined below is subject to change.

At Lutheran East, we are committed to in-person education for all students and the health and safety of our school community. Given these commitments, recommendations from our local boards of health, and the current trajectory of COVID-19, masks are optional for students, faculty and visitors. In addition, it is recommended that each person conduct daily symptom checks prior to attending school, and we have a strong emphasis on good hygiene practices.

Lutheran East will not require vaccination, but we encourage all families to consider vaccination options and decide what is best for their family. Vaccination is the best way to mitigate the potential risk of COVID-19 in our community. We will need to continue to work together to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We take the guidance and recommendations offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention seriously. If you have questions regarding recommended isolation, please contact the school office for more information.

We will continue to emphasize good hygiene practices, thorough and frequent cleaning of our school building, and student & staff education on COVID-19 symptom recognition and mitigation tactics. Let’s all do our part to maintain a healthy school environment.
